Kelendria Trene Rowland, better known as Kelly Rowland, is an American pop/R&B singer-songwriter.
She first shot to fame as a member of the girl group Destiny’s Child. They released three albums between 1998 and 2002, scoring hits with the singles No No No, Bills Bills Bills, Jumpin’ Jumpin’, Say My Name, Survivor, Bootylicious and Independent Women Part I (which topped the US singles chart for eleven consecutive weeks), before taking a hiatus in 2003 to pursue solo projects.
Since the group disbanded, Rowland has teamed up with the rapper Nelly on his number one smash hit single Dilemma and also released two solo albums, scoring hits with singles like Stole, Like This (ft. Eve), Work and Daylight (ft. Travis McCoy).
Her third solo album Kelly Rowland is due for release in October 2010, and has already produced the hit singles Commander (ft. David Guetta) and Grown Woman.
