Blake Shelton is an American country music singer-songwriter and guitarist.
Shelton came to prominence with the release of his self-titled debut album in 2001. The lead single Austin shot straight to number one on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, staying there for five consecutive weeks, and was followed by the Top 20 singles All Over Me and Ol' Red.
His next three albums - 2003’s The Dreamer, 2004’s Blake Shelton's Barn & Grill and 2007’s Pure BS - were all certified gold and produced the number one hits The Baby, Some Beach and Home. His latest album, 2008’s Startin’ Fires, produced the number one hit She Wouldn’t Be Gone and the number eight I’ll Just Hold On.
Shelton has since released the EP singles Hillbilly Bone (ft. Trace Adkins) - his sixth number one hit - and All About Tonight.
