The Prodigy Profile
The Prodigy are a British hardcore dance/electro band consisting of vocalist Keith Flint, MC Maxim Reality and DJ and multi-instrumentalist Liam Howlett.
Formed in 1990, The Prodigy released their debut album Experience in 1992, which contained the popular singles Charly, Out of Space and Fire. This was swiftly followed by 1994’s Music for the Jilted Generation, which reached number one in the UK Albums Chart and produced the hit singles No Good (Start the Dance), Voodoo People and Poison.
The group first enjoyed mainstream success in the US with their 1997 album The Fat of the Land. It reached number one on the Billboard 200, produced the hits Firestarter, Breathe and Smack My Bitch Up, and was nominated for a Grammy Award and Mercury Music Prize.
The Prodigy have since released two more UK number one albums and scored hits with the singles Girls, Omen and Warrior’s Dance.
