Lenny Kravitz Profile
Lenny Kravitz is a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and record producer from New York City.
He first became known after releasing his debut album Let Love Rule in 1989, which sold over two million copies in Europe, while 1991’s Mama Said scored hits with Always on the Run and It Ain’t Over ‘Til It’s Over. These albums were followed by 1993’s Are You Gonna Go My Way and 1995’s Circus, which sold over five million copies between them and produced the hits Are You Gonna Go My Way, Believe, Rock and Roll Is Dead and Can\'t Get You Off My Mind.
But it was the 1999 album 5 that gave Kravitz his biggest success. The album sold over six million copies, won two Grammy Awards and produced the smash hits singles Fly Away, American Woman and I Belong to You.
Kravitz is due to release his ninth album Negrophilia in 2010.
